BGP Sikkim feels old settlers have misguided Supreme Court as well People aspersing Sikkimese Nepali as foreigner rather curse their own ancestors: KN Sharma

Gangtok, 26 June2013:Bharatiya Gorkha Parishangh (BGP) , Sikkim strongly condemning the aspersion against Sikkimese Nepali by anti social elements within so-called Old Settlers of Sikkim put forth a strong objection to their remark as absolutely anti social gesture. This so-called old settlers, as the BGP Sikkim president K N Sharma stated that they on the advice of the then Indian political officer in Sikkim refuse to accept Sikkim Subject ship in 1961 denying their allegiance and faith to the then Choygal and the Kingdom of Sikkim. With the pride of being an Indian, they thought Sikkim Subject of no value then. Now the Central Income Tax (IT) exemption to the native Sikkimese Nepali has become a cause for their heart burn which is very much pitiable. For the anguish of their own past mistake they should not subject native Sikkimese Nepali as foreigner to heal their heart for petty gain like IT exemption. The IT exemption by Government is constitutionally guaranteed to the native Sikkimese under the preview of the provisions granted under article 371 (F) which excludes these so called Old settlers who calms themselves the Indians. Hence the exemption doesn’t include them as they are not native Sikkimese as per the constitution .

And asking IT exemption for themselves labeling Sikkimese Nepali as foreigner is a logic totally absurd and highly objectionable. President Sharma suggests that these anti social elements to restrain themselves from sawing seed of communal hatred for their own safety. And apologizing for their mistake will help them correct and carve out a secure place for themselves in Sikkimese society for a peaceful co-existence. President Sharma also has offered them with options and suggested them to make their own choice as to what may be better for their own selves . BGP Sikkim has observed that the perjury that they have laid before the honorable Supreme Court has the effect that it may misled the highest court of the land. BGP Sikkim has also been authorized by the central committee of the BGP to take all steps to resolve this issue and to clear all erroneous misconceptions about the national status of Gorkhas of Sikkim.

BGP Sikkim Condemns the posters inciting communal disharmony in the state

Gangtok, 24 July 2013 Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP) Sikkim strongly condemns the act of anti Sikkimese elements in the state trying to disturbed the communal harmony of peaceful Sikkim. The posters stuck around different places in the East and the West district of Sikkim carry provoking contents that are targeted against bonafide Sikkimese Nepali, Bhutia and Lepcha. Offending text in the posters are detrimental to the peace , communal harmony and the security of state. BGP Sikkim feels, that the text in the posters are intentionally schemed to derange the law and order situation in the state. BGP Sikkim, general secretary Prabin Khaling appeals the people in the state through the press release to maintain calm and avert the ill intentioned design of the elements at work to destabilize the tranquil atmosphere of the state. BGP Sikkim also appeals the state administration to get to the root through thorough investigation against this anti social elements working against the state. BGP Sikkim appreciate the suo motu action taken by the police authority as well.

BGP, Sikkim State Committee to create “Youth Cell”

Gyalshing,11 Dec: A meeting of West District sub-committees of Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP), Sikkim Unit and the members of the BGP State working committee was convened today under the chairmanship of the president, BGP West District Committee, HB Pradhan.Meeting decided over the enhancement of a progressive, patriotic and peaceful society. Keeping in view the consistent demand of the youth of the Parisangha, regarding the formation of a separate wing of youth, the meeting today passed a resolution to grant the formation of the same.

The Separate wing would be working in various agendas like the research upon the history of the Indian Gorkha’s helping develop the status of Gorkhas and various works relating with the upliftment of the community. Besides the separate wing of youth would be working for the various social causes such as drug abuse and similar social derormities, upliftment of cultural and social aspects among the youth etc.


Addressing the meet, the president of BGP, Sikkim branch, Dr. Kamal Gururng suggested that the association pertains to the level of national level and hence it was important for every member to develop the vision and their show up their activities up to a national level for which he urged the members to develop the quality of leadership to guide the association at a national level. The ex-secretary to the Government of Sikkim cum patron member of BGP Sikkim, K N Sharma asserted the the activities towards the upliftment of the various cultures of the region and thus expand their activity up to grass root level.

The General Secretary of the BGP Sikkim, S Pandey highlighting the various issues of the Indian Gorkha community and the site at which Gorkha people are looked upon by the other parts of the country he voiced for the united Gorkha population in order to gain their true status among other parts of the country.

The secretary of the association, Pravin Khaling urged that people to mark their community as Gorkha in a community census to be held in the upcoming days. Prior to that Khaling stated that by specifying their own community or rather than in the census the actual count of Gorkha community as a whole would not be known and thus in that case the centre government will not have any base over actual strength of population of Gorkha community in the country.

The meet today also decided over the third year of national level meeting on 2012. The meeting further decided over the handing over the leadership to the memvers in the future programs to be initiated. President of the BGP (Dentam branch) Surat Gurung also discussed the various agenda of the association briefly in the meeting. He stated that the association should check the wrong impression over the association as being a political association, among the general public and thus appealed the members to publicize the association clarifying such notions. Two newly joined members of the association from Dentam, RB Rai and YB khatiwada stated that they had joined the association to work out the noble ideas of the association in a better and unanimous way. BGP Sikkim observed 68th Balidan Diwas in Gangtok

Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP) Sikkim Unit celebrated the 68th Balidan Diwas today here in the capital under the chairmanship of Mr. Kamal Gurung who is also the president of BGP Sikkim unit.



During the occasion Mr. C.P Dewan was the chief guest whereas Mr. Pradhumna Shrestha was the guest of honour.


While addressing the gathering Mr. C.P Dewan said that ‘we have to respect the contribution of Martyrs who has awarded a lot of contribution during the movement before 1947 and due to their sacrifice India succeeded in gaining freedom from British rule.




Mr. Dewan further mentioned that BGP is a non political organizations that always tries to protect the identity of Gorkha community in India so that it is the right time to make BGP strong across the state and nation as a whole.


BGP can bring Gorkha community in one single platform but it needs contribution from every individual and Mr. Dewan appealed all the Gorkha community to give some


contribution considering the development of Gorkha community.Furthermore Mr. Dewan said that BGP is like an umbrella organization and has formed its units across the country that is functioning actively for the welfare of the community.

We have many challenge but we have to face it and always remain positive because without challenge organization can not go ahead added Mr. Dewan.Mr. Kamal Gurung during his address informed that many Gorkha people have sacrificed for the country but there are some martyrs who are still unseen in the Indian history so considering the fact BGP has been trying to bring those left out martyrs in Indian history too.BGP is one of the organizations of Gorkha community who always struggles for Gorkha communities’ welfare, upliftment and safeguard nation wide.During the occasion Mr. Bijay Bantawa presented seminar paper on contribution of Gorkha community in the nation and said that BGP always provides right direction to the Gorkha community and has been doing lot of work in favor of Gorkha since its formation.



Mr. Bantawa also focused on the instance of Major Durga Malla who was a freedom fighter and had also sacrificed his life for free India.

Sikkim BGP secretary Prabin Khaling, in his address, said that the Parisangh has mannaged to trace out the ancestral home of Indian freedom fighter from Sikkim, Helen Lepha who was known as Sabitri Devi during her participation in the national movement.

"Her ancestral home has been traced out in South Sikkim and we have requested the state government to name the Namchi Central Park as Sabitri Devi park.We have received positive response from the government." said Khaling. The programme was also address by the state working president Narayan Bhattarai, Secretary Zone II Somnath Pandey , west district committee resident HB Pradhan and active member Amar Bania "Loahoro"

देन्ताम,15 मई। भारतीय गोर्खाहरूको राष्ट्रिय छाता संगठन भारतीय गोर्खा परिसंघ (भागोप) सिक्किम राज्य समितिको पश्चिम सिक्किमको देन्ताममा भव्य सांगठनीक सभा सम्पन्न भयो। देन्ताम बरिष्ठ पाठशालाको प्रेक्षागृहमा स्थानीय युवा, वुद्धिजिवी, शिक्षकवर्ग,सरकारी कर्मचारी तथा राजनीतिज्ञहरूको रहर लाग्दो उपस्थितिमा सम्पन्न यस बैठकमा पश्चिम जिल्ला पञ्चायत उपाध्यक्ष बीबी विष्ट मुख्य अतिथिको रूपमा उपस्थित थिए।

हिजो शनीबार सम्पन्न उक्त बैठकमा आफ्नो सम्बोधन राख्दै उपाध्यक्ष विष्टले भने, यो संगठनलाई धेरैले राजनैतिक संगठनको रूपमा हेर्ने गर्छन् तर आज यहाँ यो सोच परिवर्तन गर्न आवश्यक छ। उनले भने, हामी पश्चिम जिल्लाको सबै दूर्गम ठाउँमा पनि यो संगठनलाई पुऱ्याएर गोर्खे समाज निर्माणको निम्ति कार्य गर्नुपर्छ। उनले पश्चिम जिल्लाको विभिन्न ठाउँमा भागोपको प्रतिनिधि बनाउनु पर्ने तथा भागोप नसुनेको ठाउँलाई पनि सुनाएर यसको महत्व र जातिको हितामा हुने कार्य गर्न सबैलाई हातेमालो गराउनु पर्ने सबैको कर्तव्य रहेको बताए।

यसैगरि भागोपको सत्प्रयासमा राज्य सरकारलाई गोर्काल्याण्डको निम्ति विधानसभामा प्रस्ताव पारित गराउने जुन आग्रह गरिएको थियो त्यसलाई सम्मान गर्दै गत 29 मार्चको दिन विधानसभामा ऐतिहासिक प्रस्ताव पारित गरिएको उनले उपस्थित समुदायलाई अवगत गराए।

बैठकमा राज्य अध्यक्ष डॉ. कमल गुरुङले आफ्नो सम्बौधनमा भने, भागोप राजनीति, धर्म र जातको संकुचित विचार धाराबाट माथि उल्किएर भारतमा बस्ने गोर्खा समुदायको सामाजिकस्तर अन्य जातिको हाराहारीमा पुऱ्याउने उद्देश्य राखेर कार्य गरिरहेको बताए। उनले भने, गोर्खा जातिको विभिन्न जात रहेको छ तर सबै जातको सा-साना धाराहरू मिलेर गोर्खा जाति नदी बन्छ हामी नदी बगौं एक जुट भएर यसो गर्दा हाम्रो अस्तित्व यथावत रहनेछ भने सबै जातको परम्परा र संस्कृतिको मेलले नै पूर्णाङ्ग गोर्खा जाति बनिनेछ।

उनले भारतीय गोर्खाहरूको देश प्रतिको योगदान र अनवरत देशप्रेमको भावनालाई देश समक्ष प्रस्तुत गर्नु पर्ने तथा इतिहासमा भएका भुलहरूलाई सच्याएर नयाँ इतिहास लेख्नु भागोपको उद्देश्य रहेका बताए। यसैगरि भागोपको राष्ट्रिय स्वरूप र कार्यप्रणालीबारे कार्यकारी आध्यक्ष नारायण भट्टराईले अवगत गराए। उनले भागोपको राष्ट्रिय मुद्दाहरू छिनो फानो गर्नु पर्ने दिशामा सबै तहबाट सहयोग र जोड लगाउनु पर्ने बताए ।

जसमा गोर्खाहरूको राष्ट्रिय चिन्हारीको प्रश्नसित जोडिएको छुट्टै राज्यको माग, गोर्खाहरूलाई दूरदर्शनमा गोर्खा च्यानल, गोर्खा बुद्धिजिवीहरूलाई राष्ट्रको सम्मानित पदमा मनोनित गराउने,भाषिक अल्पसंख्यको दर्जा दिलाउने, चियाबारी र सिन्कोनको समस्यालाई राष्ट्रिय समस्याको रूपमा चिन्हित गर्दै समाधान गराउने तथा पूर्वोत्तर राज्यका गोर्खाहरूको समस्यामाथि केन्द्र सरकारले ध्यान केन्द्रित गर्नु पर्ने अनि भागोपलाई गोर्खा प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान गर्ने संस्थानको मान्यता प्रदान गर्नु पर्ने जस्ता गहन र राष्ट्रि मुद्दामाथि अझ प्रसस्त कार्य हुनुपर्ने दिशामा जोड दिए।

अर्कोतिर भागोप राज्य शाखाका सल्लाहकार तथा पूर्व डीजीपी सीपी गिरीले भारतमा गोर्खाहरूको अवस्था र गोर्खाहरूले निर्धारण गर्नुपर्ने भावि कार्यक्रमहरूको बारेमा उपस्थित व्यक्तित्वहरूमाझ जानकारी गराए। उनले गोर्खाहरूलाई शैक्षिक, समाजिक अनि राजनैतिक र आर्थिक रूपले सम्पन्न गराएर राष्ट्रियस्तरमा शीर ठाँडो पारेर अघि बज्न सक्ने एउटा समभ्य जातिको रूपमा विकास गर्नुपर्ने बताए।

यसरी नै सिक्किम राज्य समिति द्वारा थालिएको कार्यक्रम र युवाहरूको सभागिताबारे सचिव प्रवीण खालिङले प्रष्ट पारे। उनले भने, देशले रगत मागे मलाई बलि चडाउ भन्दै सधैं गर्दन थापेर अघि आउने गोर्खाहरूले अब आफ्नो रगत बगेको हिसाब गर्दै देशले पनि अब गोर्खालाई हेर्ने दिन आएको छ। यसको निम्ति युवाहरूले शिक्षित र देशको कुनै पनि परिवेशमा कार्य गर्न सक्ने सक्षम नागरिको रूपमा आफूलाई तयार पार्नुपर्ने आह्वान गरे।

उनले भागोप सिक्किम राज्य शाखा द्वारा आगामी वर्षदेखि आइएएस, आइपीएस, आइएफएस तथा आइआरएस जस्तै सेवाको निम्ति सिक्किमे युवाहरूलाई तयार पार्ने व्यवस्था मिलाउने बताए। यसैगरि अन्य विभिन्न करियर सम्बऩ्धि जानकारीहरू पनि भागोपको राज्य शाखा कार्यालयबाट जिल्ला र शाखा समितिहरूमा पठाउने बताए।

यसैगरि भागोप राज्य शाखाको महत्वकांक्षी परियोजना सावित्रीदेवीको मुर्ति स्थापनाबारे आवश्यक दस्तावेजहरूको संकलनमा सबैले आफ्नो तर्फबाट पनि प्रयास गरेर भेटिएका दस्तावेजहरू राज्य शाखालाई उपलब्ध गराउनु पर्ने बताए। यसै गरि उनले अबको समय युवाहरूको जिम्मामा रहेको बताउँदै युवाहरूले जातिको उत्थान र विकासको निम्ति भागोपसित मिलेर अझ वृहतरूपमा कार्य गर्नुपर्ने बताए।

यसैगरि कार्यकर्ममा देन्ताम शाखाका अध्यक्ष सुरत गुरुङले भागोपको कार्यक्रमले गोर्खा समाजमा जातिप्रतिको प्रेम र यसको विकासको निम्ति महत्वपूर्ण कार्य गरिरहेको बताउदै राजनैतिक कुरा भनेर पर सर्ने मानसिकताबाट माथि उठेर जातिको हित र अस्तित्व रक्षाको निम्ति सबै अघि आउनुपर्ने बताए। यसैगरि हिबर्मेकका अध्यक्ष अशोक प्रधानले भने, भागोप गोर्खाहरूलाई राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा चिन्हारी प्रदान गर्दै उठाउने संस्था हो।

यो राजनीति भन्दा माथिको विषय हो सबैले यसको निम्ति सहयोग गर्दै जातीय एकताको निम्ति परिसंघसित कार्य गर्नुपर्छ, उनले भने। कार्यक्रमको सञ्चालन देन्तामका महासचिव जेपी छेत्रीले गरेका थिए भने राज्य महासचिव एस पाण्डे, सांगठनीक सचिव प्रेम राज गुरूङ, एसएम सुब्बा आदिले पनि अन्तरक्रियामा भाग लिएका थिए। कार्यक्रमलाई रोचक बनाउन स्थानीय लिटल विस्डम अंग्रेजी विद्यालयका विद्यार्थीहरूले लोक नृत्य प्रस्तुत गरेका थिए। कार्यक्रममा गोर्खा जागरण गीत बाट कार्यक्रमको थालनी गरिएको थियो।

BGP,Sikkim condemns Sibchu killings, demands enquiry by Supreme Court judge

GANGTOK, 11 Feb: The Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh’s Sikkim-unit has condemned the death of three GJM supporters in a police firing in West Benagl on 08 Feb.

In this regard the BGP has submitted a letter to the President of India, the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Governor and the Chief Minister of Sikkim, Defence Ministry, Central Home Secretary, Human Rights Commission and the Minority Commission demanding immediate reaction by the Centre to restore peace in the Darjeeling Hills.

It has also strongly contended that the creation of Gorkhaland was the only lasting solution to this violence, a BGP press release states.

The memorandum is signed by BGP-Sikkim president, Kamal Gurung, working president, Narayan Bhattarai, general secretary, S Pandey, National Working Committee members Pravin Khaling and CP Giri.

The memorandum has also demanded that the Centre institute an enquiry committee headed by a Supreme Court judge to investigate the incident at Sibchu in West Bengal and that those guilty of having perpetuated State violence on a peaceful procession be punished as per law.

The police firing, the memorandum contends, was an act of cowardice.
The memorandum has also demanded that paramilitary forces be withdrawn from Darjeeling, accusing them of vitiating the peace in Darjeeling.

The BGP adds that it will also now build up support for the movement for statehood more forcefully even in Sikkim.

गान्तोक,10 फरवरी। भारतभरि छरिएका गोर्खाहरूको जीवन मरणको प्रश्न सित जोडिएको छुट्टै राज्य गोर्खाल्याण्डको मागलाई लिएर हातमा राष्ट्रिय ध्वाज लिएर आन्दोलनरत रहेका गोर्खा जनमुक्ति मोर्चाका कार्यकर्ताहरूमाथि डुवर्सको सिप्सुमा अर्धसैनिक बलद्वारा अमानविय ढंगमा गोली प्रहार गरि हत्याको ताण्डव रचेको घटनालाई भारतीय गोर्खा परिसंघ (भागोप), सिक्किम राज्य शाखाले घोर भत्सर्ना जनाउँदै राष्ट्रपति, प्रधानमन्त्री,गृहमन्त्री, सिक्किमका राज्यपाल-मुख्यमन्त्री, भाषिक अल्पसंख्यक आयोग, रक्षा मन्त्रालय, केन्द्रिय गृह सचिव,मानव अधिकार आयोगलाई ज्ञापन पठाएर प्रस्तावित गोर्खाल्याण्ड क्षेत्रमा शान्ति वहाल गर्नको निम्ति केन्द्र सरकारले हस्तक्षेप गर्नुपर्ने माग गर्दै यसको स्थाई समाधान छुट्टै राज्य गोर्खाल्याण्ड गठन मात्र समाधान रहेको ठोकुवा गरेको छ।

भागोपद्वारा राष्ट्रपति अनि अन्य नेताहरूलाई पठाएको ज्ञापनमा चारवटा महत्वपूर्ण माग राखेको छ। जसमा भनिएको छ, केन्द्र सरकार डुवर्समा भएको बर्बरतापूर्ण घटनाप्रति मौन नबसेर प्रस्तावित गोर्खाल्याण्ड क्षेत्रको समस्या यथासिघ्र समाधान गर्दै शान्ति स्थपना गर्नु पर्छ।

गोर्खाहरूको संविधानसम्मत् मागलाई यथासिघ्र पुरा गरिनु पर्छ। यसैगरि डुवर्सको घटनालाई लिएर सर्वोच्च न्यायालयको न्यायाधिश नेतृत्वमा जाँच आयोग गठन गरिनु पर्छ अनि डुवर्समा भएको अति बर्बरता पूर्ण घटनामा सरकारी सैन्यबल द्वारा मानव अधिकार हनन गरिएकोमा उच्चस्तरीय जाँच गर्दै अपराधीलाई दण्ड दिइऩु पर्ने माग राखेको छ।

भागोपले डुवर्समा राष्ट्रिय ध्वज बोकेर हिँडेको निहत्था गोर्खाहरूमाथि गोलि चलाइनु कायरता र राष्ट्रिय ध्वाजको अपना तथा गान्धीवादी आन्दोलनलाई कलंक लगाउने कार्य गरेको बताएको छ।


यसैगरि भागोपले प्रस्तावित गोर्खाल्याण्ड क्षेत्रमा शान्ति स्थापनाको बाधा भनेकै अर्धसैनिकबलको तैनाथी रहेको ठोकुवा गर्दै केन्द्र सरकारको हस्तक्षेपमा तुरन्तै गोर्खाल्याण्ड क्षेत्रबाट अर्धसैनिक बल फिर्ता लिइऩु पर्छ। यसका साथै भागोपले केन्द्र सरकारद्वारा गोर्खाहरूको मागलाई यथासिघ्र समाधान गर्दै शान्ति स्थापना गरिनुपर्ने माग गरेको छ।

यसैगरि कुटनैतिक दृष्टिले पनि यो क्षेत्रमा चलिरहेको आन्दोलनलाई अदेखान गर्न नहुने बताएको छ।

अर्कोतिर भागोपले गोर्खाल्याण्ड भारतभरिका गोर्खाहरूको परिचय र राष्ट्रिय चिन्हारीको माग रहेको बताउँदै आन्दोलनलाई अझ व्यापकता दिन भागोप सिक्किम राज्य समितिले चरणबद्ध ढंगमा अब सिक्किममा पनि आन्दोलन तिब्र पार्ने घोषणा गरेको छ।

गणतान्त्रीक ढंगमा आन्दोलनको रूपरेखा चाँडै घोषणा गर्ने तथा सम्पूर्ण गोर्खे सन्तानलाई छुट्टै राज्य गोर्खाल्याण्डको आन्दोलन राष्ट्रव्यापि रूपमा विस्तर गरेर लाने आह्वान गरेको छ।

Prof. Lama and Chopel Conferred Gorkha Gaurav Awards on the occasion of Gorkha Gaurav Diwas

Gangtok,22 Nov: Vice Chancellor, Sikkim Central University, Prof, Mahendra P Lama and renowned film director, Ugen Chopel, were conferred with the gorkha Gaurav award 2010 today by Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh,Sikkim Unit for their roles in securing the identity of the Gorkha community in India trough their success in their respective fields. The awards were handed over by the former working president, BGP, CK Shrestha, on the occasion of Gorkha Gaurav Diwas which was celebrated at a Smiland amusement park near Gangtok today.


The awardees were presented a memento, citation and shawl recording the Gorkha Parisangh's recognition of their contributions to the fields of education and national security (for Prof. Lama) and creative arts and culture (for Mr. Chople).
In his address, Prof. Lama shared that the Gorkha community has already earned laurels and recognition as one of the most courageous people in the world and that now it was time to also establish their power and credentials in the academic field as well. Winning recognition for Nepali language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution,he shared, was the first step towards this endeavor and urged members of the community to invest the required priority on education which would help the community establish an stronger identity.

He also commented that one of the reasons behind the general backwardness of the community was that it dose not have any written history which leaves the field open for others to generate wrong notions about Gorkhas.

He commented that organizations like BGP could play an important role towards documenting and authenticating books on the Gorkhas and presenting it to the world.
Similarly, Mr Chopel thanked the organizers for the award and expressed happiness and gratitude on being felicitated ofn the same plateform as a respected intellectual like Prof. Lama.

The programme was chaired by BGP's Sikkim State Samiti president, Dr. Kamal Gurung and hada former Nagaland DGP CP Giri as the guest of honour.
In his address, Mr. Shrestha called on the Gorkha Community to abandon its obsession with holding on to even obsolete which were holding the community back.

It was Important, he said, to move along with the changing times.He also echoed the Lama's sentiments ofn the need for the community to priorities education.

वलिदान दिवसमा प्रत्यक्ष अप्रत्यक्ष सहयोग पुऱ्याउने सबैको आभारी छौः भागोप सिक्किम

गान्तोक,29 अगस्त। भारतीय गोर्खा परिसंघ (भागोप) सिक्किम राज्य द्वारा पूर्व सिक्किमको पाकिममा गत 25 अगस्तको दिन पालन गरिएको बलिदान दिवसमाथि आइतबार पाकिम बजारको एक होटलमा समिक्षा बैठक सम्पन्न भयो। भागोप राज्य अध्यक्ष डॉ.कमल गुरूङको अध्यक्षतामा संपन्न बैठकमा बलिदान दिवसको कार्यक्रममा प्रत्यक्ष तथा अप्रत्यक्ष रूपमा सहयोग पुऱ्याउनेहरूलाई आभार प्रकट गर्दै एउटा धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव ग्रहण गरियो।

बैठकमा धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव राख्दै अध्यक्ष गुरूङले भने, भागोपले आय़ोजन गरेको बलिदान दिवस कार्यक्रममा थुप्रै गैर सरकारी संगठन, सरकारी उच्च पदाधिकारी, सरकारी कर्माचारी, वुद्धिजिवी,शिक्षित युवा तथा आम मानिसहरूले प्रत्यक्ष अनि अप्रत्यक्ष रूपमा सहयोग पुऱ्याएका थिए। उनीहरूको योगदान र समर्पण भागोपको समाज निर्माण र जातिको उत्थानको महाअभियानको निम्ति महत्वपूर्ण रहेको छ। उनीहरूको सहयोगले समाज निर्माणलाई थप टेवा पुगेको छ। जुन भागोपले सदैव ऋणी महशुस गर्दै सम्झनामा राख्ने छ।

उनले निकट भविष्यमा पनि सहयोगी संघ-संस्थाहरूको यस्तै सहयोग को अपेक्षा राखेका छन्। अर्कोतिर भागोप पाकिम शाखा अध्यक्षले बलिदान दिवसको आयव्ययको हिसाब-किताब प्रस्तुत गरेपछि पाकिममा भागोपको गतिविधिबारे विस्तृत प्रतिवेदन पनि प्रस्तुत गरे। जसमा उनले वलिदान दिवस आयोजन गर्ने क्रममा लगभग एक हप्ताभित्रमात्र भागोपको आजीवन सदस्यता ग्रहण गर्नेहरूको संख्या 106 जना पुगेको बताए। जसमा सरकारी उच्च पदाधिकारी, अवकाशप्राप्त कर्मचारी, समाज सेवी, शिक्षित युवा तथा समाजका माथ्थिलो तप्काका वुद्धिजिवीहरूको संलग्नता रहेको जानकारी गराए। उऩले अझ भागोपको सदस्यता व्यापक रूपमा थाल्ने अनि निकट भविष्यमा पाकिमका सबै जनगणलाई समाज निर्माणमा लागिपरेको यो राष्ट्रिय संगठन भागोपको दिशा निर्देशनमा अघि बड्ने बताए।

अर्कोतिर भागोप राज्य समिति कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष नारायण भट्टराईले कार्यक्रमको विभिन्न पक्षहरूलाई लिएर समिक्षा प्रस्तुत गरे। उनले आगामी दिनमा दिशाहिन बन्न लागेको समाजलाई सही मार्गमा डोहोऱ्याउन पहल गर्नुपर्ने बताउँदै पाकिममा अझ व्यापक सांगठनीक कार्यक्रमहरू अघि वडाउने बताए।यसै गरि आगामी सितंबर महिनालाई संगठन विस्तारको निम्ति समर्पित गर्दै राज्यव्यापी रूपमा सांगठनीक कार्यक्रम थालिने बताए। समिक्षा बैठकमा पाकिम शाखाका र राज्य समितिका पदाधिकारीगणको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो।

भागोप सिक्किम द्वारा बलिदान भव्यताको साथमा पालन

पाकिम,25 अगस्त। भारतदेशमा जति अरू समुदायको हक र अधिकार छ त्यत्ती नै अधिकार गोर्खाहरूको पनि छ। यो देश आरूको जत्तिकै गोर्खाहरूको पनि हो। यस प्रकारको वक्तव्य भारतीय गोर्खा परिसंघ (भागोप) पूर्व कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष तथा मिशन जाग्रत समाज भारतका निदेशक सी के श्रेष्ठले व्यक्त गरेका हुन।

पूर्व सिक्किमको पाकिम सामुदायिक भवनमा आयोजित बलिदान दिवसको अवसरमा उनले आफ्नो वक्तव्य राख्दै उनले भने स्वाधिनताको निम्ति आफ्नो प्राणको बलिदान दिने सहिद मेजर दुर्गा मल्लले वीरगति प्राप्त गरेको दिनलाई भारत सरकारले छुट्टी घोषित गर्नु पर्छ तर यसको निम्ति हामीले नै यो बलिदान दिवसलाई भव्यताको साथमा पालन गर्दै देशको ध्यान आकर्षित गरेर हाम्रो माग को मुल्याङ्कन गराउन सक्नु पर्छ।


उनले वलिदान दिवसको दिन ब्रिटिश सरकारले दुर्गामल्ललाई सरकार विरिद्ध काम गरेकोमा फाँसी दिएको थियो भने यो दिन ,केव दुर्गा मल्लको निम्ति मात्र समर्पित नभएर देश स्वाधिनताको निम्तिम आहुति दिने र स्वतन्त्रता पछि पनि देश रक्षामा होमिएका सबै वीर वीरङ्गनाहरूलाई श्रद्धा अर्पण गर्ने दिन हो।

उनले देशमा गोर्खाहरूको गरिमाबारे बोल्दै भने, भारत देश भगतसिंह, गान्धि, आजाद र सुभाषचन्द्र वोसको हो भन्छन् भने उत्तिकै यो देश सहिद दुर्गामल्ल र सावित्रीदेवीको पनि हो। उनले अझ भने, .यो देशको राष्ट्रगानका रचयीता रविन्द्रनाथ ठाकुरको हो भने यो देश गीतको धुन भर्ने कप्तान रामसिहं ठकुरीको पनि हो। खास कुरा यहाँ छ तर यो कुरा देशका कतिले बुझेका छन् अनि यो कुरालाई बुझाउने प्रयास हामीले कति गरेका छौ आज घोत्लिने दिन हो।


निदेशक श्रेष्ठले गोर्खाहरूको अवस्थान र स्थितिबारे बोल्दै भने, आज देशका विभिन्न भागहरूमा बसोबासो गर्ने गोर्खा समुदायका मानिसहरू विभिन्न समस्याले पिरोलिएका छन् तर यी समस्याहरूको सुनुवाई हुननसक्नुको पछाडी यी कुराहरूलाई सही ढंगमा सही स्थानमा प्रस्तुत गर्न नसकेकोले पनि हो।

तर भारत देश प्रजातान्त्रीक मूल्य र मान्यताको सम्मान भएको देश हो यहाँ सही ढंगमा पहल गरिएमा सबै कुराको समाधान र मुल्याङ्कन हुन्छ। हामी हाम्रा समस्याहरू सहीरूपमा प्रस्तुत गर्न सक्नुपर्छ।
उनले सिक्किमे गोर्खाहरूको सन्दर्भमा बोल्दै उनले भने, सिक्किमका गोर्खाहरूले आफ्नै जातिको हित र कल्याण मात्र सोचेर हुँदैन समग्रतामा सम्पूर्ण सिक्किमको हित र कल्याण सोचेको हुनुपर्छ। किन भने सिक्किमको हित र कल्याणमा नै त्यहाँ बसेका गोर्खाहरूको हित र कल्याण निहित छ। सिक्किम बलियो भएमा देशभऱिका गोर्खाहरूले त्यो शक्तिको तापमा अगाडि बड्न सक्नेछ, उनले थपे।

यसैगरि उनले अझ भने,जातीय समस्याहरूको समाधनको निम्ति सबल र सक्षम जातीय संगठन हुँनैपर्छ। यसको निम्ति सर्वप्रथम हामी संगठीत हुनुपर्छ। यसगै गरि उनले गोर्खा समुदायको इतिहास पुनःलेखलको स्थितमा रहेको बताउँदै यस समयलाई अति गम्भीरतासित लिनु पर्ने आवश्यकता बताए। गोर्खा समुदायले आज के चाहेका छन र गोर्खाहरूलाई देशले बुझ्न जरूरी भएको छ , देशलाई बुझाउन आवश्यक छ।

यसै गरि कार्यक्रमका मुख्य अतिथि नागाल्याण्डका पूर्व पुलिस महानिदेशक सी पी गिरीले आफ्नो सम्बोधनमा भने, हामीले संगठीत हुनक्रम शुरु गरेका छौ। यसलाई निरन्तरता दिनुपर्छ जसको निम्ति हामीले भागोप जस्तो राष्ट्रवादी जातीय संगठनलाई अगंलेर यसैमार्फत समग्र विकास गर्नु पर्छ। उनले अझ भने, भागोपको सदस्यता प्रत्येक व्यक्तिले लिनु पर्छ यसको किनभने यो संस्थाको विकास नै सदस्यता र सहभागितामा निर्भर रहेको छ।

अर्कतिर गोर्खाहरूले राष्ट्रिय मूलधारामा गएर प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्न सक्नु पर्ने बताउदै आईपीएस आइएएस तथा अन्य प्रशासनिक परिक्षाहरूमा उतिर्ण भएर धेरै भन्दा धेरै वुद्धिजीवि व्यक्तिहरू तयार पार्नु पर्ने बताए। यसको निम्ति भागोपले थालेको समाज निर्माणको कार्यलाई पनि अघि बडाएर लानु पर्ने जसले सही व्यक्तित्व विकास गर्ने बताए। उनले भागोपको संगठन विस्तार मै जोड दिए।

यसै गरि विशिष्ठ अतिथि सिक्किमका एक इतिहास पुरूष सीडी राईले आफ्ने सम्बोधनमा गोर्खाहरूको उत्थानको निम्ति राष्ट्रिय स्तरमै पहल गर्नु पर्ने तथा यसको निम्ति आफ्नो पक्षबाट हुन सक्ने सम्पूर्ण सहयोग प्रदान गर्ने बताए।

यसै गरि भागोप जोन 1 का महासचिव जेम्स प्रधानले आफ्नो सम्बोधनमा सिक्किम राज्य समितिले गरेको कार्यको सराहना गर्दै गोर्खाहरू उत्थानको निम्ति र ऱाष्ट्रिय मान्यताको निम्ति भागोपले गरिरहेको पहलमा सबैले सहभागिता जनाउनु पर्ने बताए।
अर्कोतिर विशिष्ठ अतिथि तथा बोडोल्याण्ड क्षेत्रिय परिषदका पार्षद माधव कार्कीले आफ्ने सम्बोधनमा गोर्खाहरूको हितमा आफू सधै लागि पर्ने बचन बद्धता जाहेर गरे। उनले राष्ट्रियस्तरमै गोर्खाको विकास र उत्थान हुनु पर्ने बताए।


यसै गरि कार्यक्रममा सभाध्यक्षको सम्बोधन राख्दै भागोप सिक्किम राज्य समितिका अध्यक्ष डॉ. कमल गुरूङले भागोपको दर्शन र सिक्किममा यसको गतिविधीको विस्तृत जानकारी प्रस्तुत गरे। उनले जातिको संगठन दह्रिलो हुनु र जातीय चिन्हारी स्थापित गरेर गोर्खाहरूलाई गरिमामय बनाउने दिशामा आह्वान गरे।

उनले यस संगठनमा युवा सहभागितामाथि जोड दिए। कार्यक्रमा सहिद मेजर दुर्गामल्लको प्रतिमाको प्रतिकृतिमा श्रद्धाञ्जली अर्पण गरियो भने, सिक्किमकी एक्ली स्वाधिनता सेनानी सावित्रीदेवी उर्फ हेलेन लेप्चाको तस्वीरमा पनि श्रद्धा अर्पण गरिए। यसका साथै भागोपद्वारा शोध गरेर निर्माण गरेको वृत्तचीत्र लोकार्पण गरियो। यसै गरि सिक्किम परिसंघको दुर्गामल्ल सावित्रीदेवी विशेषाङ्क पनि लोकार्पण गरियो।

अर्कोतिर पाकिम शाखाको तत्परतामा जागरण गीत र राष्ट्रवादी गोर्खा भारती गीत प्रस्तुत गरियो। यसै गरि रिनाक शाखाले राष्ट्रवादी गीत प्रस्तुत गरे। कार्यक्रममा सम्मान पर्व अन्तर्गत 9 जना वरिष्ठ भूतपूर्व सैनिकहरूलाई सम्मान गरिए। यसै गरि भागोपको सहयोगी संस्थान मानव सेवा समिति लेगसेप अनि इष्ट पोइन्ट स्कूल सिंगतामलाई पनि अभिनन्दन गरियो।

कार्यक्रममा पूर्वत्तर राज्य समेत सिक्किमका चारै जिल्लाबाट प्रतिनिधिहरू आएका थिए। यसै गरि कालेबुङ र दार्जीलिङका प्रतिनिधिहरूको पनि गरिमामय उपस्थित थियो।

. गान्तोक, 23 अगस्त। भारतभरिका गोर्खे सन्तानको नाममा भारतीय गोर्खा परिसंघका पूर्व कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष तथा मिशन जाग्रत समाजका राष्ट्रिय निर्देशक नाट्यभूषण सी के श्रेष्ठले बलिदान दिवसको अवसरमा देशको निम्ति अफ्नो प्राणको वलिदान दिने सपुतहरूको श्रद्धामा एक दिन छुट्टी बसेर बलिदान दिवसमा सहभागि बन्ने आह्वान गरेका छन्।

उनले भनेका छन्, 25 अगस्त, 1944 आजाद हिन्द फौजका मेजर दुर्गा मल्लले स्वतन्त्रता संग्राममा हॉंसी-हॉंसी फॉंसी चढ़ेको दिन । मेजर दुर्गा मल्ल जस्तै पश्चिमाञ्चलबाट क्याप्टन दलबहादुर थापा, सिक्किमकी सावित्री देवी, पूर्वाञ्चलका छबिलाल उपाध्यायसरह हजारौं गोर्खा स्वतन्त्रता सेनानीहरूका अतुलनीय उत्सर्गले आज भारत एक स्वतन्त्र राष्ट्रको रूपमा स्थापित छ ।

यस राष्ट्रको निर्माणदेखि सुरक्षासम्म आफ्नो सम्पूर्ण जीवन बलिदान चढ़ाउने ती हजारौं गोर्खा वीर वीरांगनाको स्मृतिमा 25 अगस्तको दिनलाई "बलिदान दिवस'-को रूपमा भारतभरि पालन गरिने प्रयास भर्खरै चलाइएको छ । तर गोर्खाको बलिदानलाई गोर्खाले मात्रै कदर गरेर राष्ट्रले भने गरेन भने त्यो अर्थहीन हुनेछ ।

शहीद दुर्गा मल्ललाई राष्ट्रिय विभूति मानेर संसद परिसरमा मूर्ति स्थापित गरिसकेपछि राष्ट्रले पनि गोर्खाले आजसम्म देचलाई दिएको बलिदानको कदर गर्दै 25 अगस्त "बलिदान दिवस'-लाई मान्यता दिएर राष्ट्रिय पर्वको रूपमा बिदा घोशणा गर्नपर्ने हो । यो कार्य हुनसकेमा अन्य भारतीय जातिहरूको हाराहारीमा गोर्खा जातिलाई पनि मर्यादापूर्वक प्रतिश्ठापित गर्ने प्रक्रियामा ठूलै टेवा पुग्ने थियो । तर यो हुनलाई भारतका सम्पूर्ण गोर्खा सन्तानले एकजूट भएर निरन्तर प्रचेश्टा चलाउन पर्नेछ ।

राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा बलिदान दिवसलाई मान्यता दिलाउन अघि गोर्खाहरूले राज्य-राज्यमा क्षेत्रीय स्तरमा यस दिवसलाई मान्यता दिलाउन पहल शुरू गर्नु पर्नेछ । अनि यस कुरोको निम्ति सबैभन्दा महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका गोर्खाहरू स्वयंले नै निर्वाह गर्नु पर्नेछ । 25 अगस्तलाई सरकारी बिदा घोशणा गर्ने नगर्ने निर्णय त सरकारको हो । तर "गोर्खाहरूको बलिदानलाई कदर गरेर 25 अगस्तलाई सरकारी मान्यता दिनुपर्छ' भन्ने गोर्खाहरू स्वयंले पहिले यस दिनलाई महत्व नदिए सरकारले कसरी देला ?

"सरकारी बिदा' हाम्रो हातको कुरो होइन । तर आनै हातमा भएको "हक-छुट्टी'-लाई त सदुपयोग गर्न सक्छौं नि ! गोर्खा हौं भनेर आनो जातिको गर्व गर्छौं भने 25 अगस्त "बलिदान दिवस'-लाई पालन गर्दै सामूहिक बिदा लिऔं । हाम्रा शहीदहरूको कदर हामी आफैले गरे मात्र अरूले पनि गर्लान्।

याद राख्नुहोस्वीर गोर्खा सेनानीहरूले त हाम्रो निम्ति आनो प्राणसम्म बलि चढ़ाए, आफुलाई सम्पूर्ण रूपले समर्पण गरिदिए । समाजको निम्ति, जातिको निम्ति केही गर्नुपर्छ भन्नेहरूले के एक दिनको छुट्टीलाई बलि चढ़ाउन सक्दैनौं ?
गोर्खा चहीदहरूको नाममा एक दिनको छुट्टीलाई बलि चढ़ाएर सही अर्थमा बलिदान दिवस पालन गरौं ।

Sikkim BGP prepares for Balidan Diwas

GANGTOK, August 10: A sub-committee has been formed by the Sikkim unit of Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP) to oversee preparations for the upcoming Balidan Diwas celebrations proposed to be held at Pakyong in East Sikkim on August 25.

The BGP has been regularly organizing August 25 as ‘Balidan Diwas’ since 2003 on a national scale to honour the supreme sacrifice given by fighter Sahid Major Durga Malla for the nation whose struggle ended in martyrdom on August 24, 1944. Malla was hanged on August 25, 1944 by the British.

The sub-committee was formed during a meeting of the Parisangh chaired by Sikkim unit president Dr Kamal Gurung. The meeting resolved to celebrate Balidan Diwas at Pakyong on a Northeastern level for which, preparations are already over.

BGP representatives from Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will be present during the Balidan Diwas celebrations as special invitees, the BGP functionaries said in the meeting.

Former BGP working president CK Shrestha was also present during the meeting.
In his address, Shrestha said that efforts must be made to deliver State holiday status to Balidan Diwas and then work to convince the Centre to recognize the contributions made by the Indian Gorkhas.

The Sikkim BGP president, Dr Kamal Gurung said that the family members of lone freedom fighter from Sikkim, Helen Lepcha will be felicitated by the BGP during the function.

Similarly, ex-servicemen from Pakyong area above the age of 70 years will be honoured by the Sikkim BGP on the occasion along with other supportive organizations, informs a press release.

The BGP is a non-government national level organization of Indian Gorkha.

BHARITYA GORKHA PARISANGH TRACES FREEDOM FIGHTER HELEN LEPCHA’S BIRTHPLACE TO SANGMU VILLAGE IN SOUTH SIKKIM

GANGTOK, August 6: The Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP), which is working hard to bring out the contributions of Sikkimese people in the national freedom movement into public knowledge, has found the birth place of freedom fighter Helen Lepcha at a remote corner in South Sikkim.

The discovery of the birth place of Lepcha who is also known as Sabitri Devi has proved the role of the Sikkimese people towards the national freedom movement, BGP said.

Lepcha was associated with Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom struggle and had led the coal mine workers agitation in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. She had passed away on August 18, 1980. Her Sikkimese origins were a matter of speculations till the BGP launched a mission to trace her antecedents.

On the basis of documents published in 1990s, a Sikkim BGP team consisting of its president Dr Kamal Gurung, working president Narayan Bhattarai, general secretary S Pandey, BGP national executive member CP Giri and Pravin Khaling had on August 1 toured South Sikkim to find the birth place of the freedom fighter.

The trail led to Sangmo village, near Assangthang and some 15 kms away from Namchi, the South district headquarters where the remains of Lepcha’s ancestral house was found by the Sikkim BGP team.

Members of the second generation of the freedom fighter’s family-Lako Tshering Lepcha (65) and Aki Lepcha (68) and Narmit Lepcha were interviewed by the Sikkim BGP team to collect more credible information on Helen Lepcha.

The remains of a Chorten at Gumpa Dara in the village were shown to the Sikkim BGP team by the family members. They pointed out that their aunt, Helen Lepcha used to annual send money till 1980 for the maintenance of the Chorten.
The Chorten is now in dilapidated conditions.

Lako Tshering Lepcha recollected that their grandfathers used to stay in a cluster of four-five big houses and in one such house, the family of Helen Lepcha used to reside.

Only eroding history of the ancestral house of Helen Lepcha today remain.
A framed black and white picture of Helen Lepcha clutching a medal conferred by the Prime Minister remains as memories for her few surviving family members whose economic conditions are weak.

The BGP has acknowledged the support of Pemcho Lepcha, the grandson of the freedom fighter, in the mission which took three years. He was raised in Kurseong where Helen Lepcha had settled and had provided valuable inputs to the BGP.

After finding the ancestral house of Helen Lepcha and collecting more information from her family members, the BGP has claimed that the role of Sikkim in the national freedom movement is now proved beyond doubt. A research report on the freedom fighter from Sikkim will be published in the Sikkim BGP mouthpiece which will be released on August 24 during the ‘Balidan Diwas’ celebrations at Rhenock.

The family members of Helen Lepcha will also be introduced to the public during the function.

The BGP will also be working to erect a statue of Helen Lepcha and submit memorandums to the State government for naming roads in Sikkim in her name.

It may be recalled that Helen Lepcha was born at Sangmo village in 1902 and for some reasons; her family had shifted to Kurseong in Darjeeling district.

Though Helen Lepcha received her education at Kurseong, her love for Sikkim still existed and she used to annually send money for the maintenance of the Chorten in her village, the family members said.

However, Helen Lepcha could not return to Sikkim even once and the people in her village slowly lost touch with her.

Helen Lepcha had joined the national freedom movement with full vigour in 1920 and was given the name of ‘Sabitri Devi’ by Mahatma Gandhi, BGP said. She had also played an important role in the escape of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose from his confinement at Giddha Pahar in Kurseong subdivision in 1940.

भारतीय गोर्खाहरूको गौरव तथा भारत देशको स्वाधिनताको निम्ति 1944 सालमा सुभाष चन्द्र बोसको नेतृत्वमा रहेको इंडियन नेशनल आर्मी (आइएनए)मा मातृभूमि भारतको मुक्तिको निम्ति फाँसीको फन्दामा हाँसी-हाँसी चडेर गोर्खाहरूको देश प्रतिको योगदानलाई साबित गर्ने महान सहिद मेजर दूर्गा मल्लको बलिदानलाई कदर गर्दै पालन गरिने 25 अगस्तको राष्ट्रव्यापी यस कार्यक्रमलाई सिक्किम राज्य शाखाले पाकिमको समुदायीक भवनमा पालन गर्ने निधों गरेको छ। जसमा यहाँहरूको व्यक्तिगत, पारिवारिक र समाजिक उपस्थितिको अपेक्षा गर्दछौं। उक्त दिन सिक्किमी स्वातन्त्रता सेनानी हेलेन लेप्चा (सावित्रीदेवी)के नाममा उक्त कार्यक्रमोक मंच समर्पित गरिनेछ अर्थात हेलेन लेप्चा स्मृति मंचमा कार्यक्रम हुनेछ।

भागोपको तीन दिवसीय समाज निर्माण कार्यशाला समापन

भागोपले राजनैतिक समस्यालाई समाजिक रूपमा हल गर्ने पहल गरेको छः डॉ खरेल

गान्तोक, 11 जुलाई। गोर्खाहरूको राष्ट्रिय संगठन भारतीय गोर्खा परिसंघ सिक्किम राज्य समितिद्वारा मिशन जाग्रत समाजको समाज निर्माणको कार्यशाला आज समापन भयो।

तीन दिने यस कार्यशालाको समापन समारोहका मुख्य अतिथि सिक्किम सरकारी महाविद्यालय तादोङका प्राचार्य डॉ. एम पी खरेलले भागोपको कार्यलाई सराहना गर्दै भने,भागोपले भारतमा गोर्खाहरूको राजनैतिक समस्याहरूलाई सामाजिक स्तरबाट समाधान गर्ने पहल गरेको छ।

भागोप मात्र एउटा यस्तो संस्था हो जसले राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा गोर्खाहरूको समस्यालाई बुझेर निधान गर्ने प्रयास गरिरहेको छ। उनले गोर्खा समाजको उत्थानको निम्ति शिक्षा महत्वपूर्ण विषय भएको हुनाले यसमा गोर्खाहरूले विशेष ध्यान दिनु पर्ने बताए। उनले भने,शिक्षाको विकासले मात्रै देशमा गोर्खा समुदायको विकास हुन सक्छ।

शिक्षाको विकासले मात्र कुनै पनि अधिकार पाउन सकिने बताए। उनले गोर्खा समुदायले राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा प्रतिस्पर्धाको विकास गरेर अन्य जातिको हाराहारीमा प्रतियोगी बन्न सक्नु पर्ने आह्वान गरे। यसका साथै भागोप र मिशन जाग्रत समाजको विचारलाई समाजले बुझ्नु पर्ने र यसलाई सहयोग प्रदान गर्नुपर्ने बताए।


यसका साथै कार्यक्रमका विशिष्ठ अतिथि राज्यका पूर्व लोकसभा सांसद नकूलदास राईले भागोप र मिजासको प्रयास अति सराहनीय रहेको बताउदै समाज निर्माणको निम्ति गरिएको पहलले जातिको विकास हुने पक्का रहेको बताए।

उनले भने, यो प्रशिक्षण धेरै उपयोगी छ हाम्रो समुदायको निम्ति यो नितान्त नयाँ विचार हो जुन देश मैं भागोप र मिजासले थालेको नयाँ आयम भएको छ। तर यसलाई सिमित तीन दिनमात्र नभएर कम्तीमा पनि एक हप्तासम्मको शिविर लगाउऩु पर्ने उनले बताए।

यसले गोर्खा समाजलाई नेतृत्व प्रदान गर्न अघि आएकाहरूले आफ्नो प्रतिभा प्रदर्शन गरेर त्यसलाई अझ निखार्न सकियोस् भन्ने उनले बताए। उनले भागोप र मिजासको यो धारणा युगसापेक्ष र देश मै नयाँ विचार रहेको बताए।

अर्को तिर तिन दिने कार्यशालाका पर्यवेक्षक तथा कालेबुङका चर्चित शिक्षा विद् बीआर छेत्रीले भने भागोप गोर्खा समाजको शरीर हो भने मिशन जाग्रत समाज गोर्खा समाजको भ्रुण हो जसले समाजलाई चाहिएको नेतृत्व जन्माउन सक्छ र सधैं आवश्यक्ता अनुसार जन्माउने छ।

उनले मिजास द्वारा सधैं समाजमा नयाँ र आऴस्य़क नेतृत्व जन्माउन सक्षम रहेको बताए। उनले भागोपले लिएको मिशन जाग्रत समाज जस्तो विचारले नै गोर्खा समाजको विकास संभाव रहेको दावी गरे।

समापन कार्यक्रममा मिशन जाग्रत समाजका राष्ट्रिय निदेशक तथा प्रमुख शोधवक्ता सी के श्रेष्ठले आफ्नो विचार राख्दै भने, मिजास कुनै संगठन होइऩ तर यो एउटा विचार हो जसले जातित्वको आधारमा समाज निर्माणको सिद्धान्तलाई नयाँ प्रस्तुतिकरण र वैज्ञानिक ढाँचामा हालेर समाजका कर्णधार निर्माण गर्ने दिशामा कार्य गरिरहेको छ।

उनले यस विचारलाई लिएर सभ्य समाजको निर्माण गरिने बताए।
समापन कार्यक्रममा प्रक्षिणार्थीहरूले पनि आफ्नो अनुभाव प्रस्तुत गरे। यसै गरि प्रशिक्षणार्थीहरूलाई प्रमाण पत्र वितरण गरियो।
